The Massari poker school in Florianopolis has recruited some of Brazil's finest poker minds to coach aspiring players. Dayane "Day" Kotoviezy is one of the mentors enlisted by the famed poker institution to share her expertise, along with partypoker ambassadors Joao and Luiza Simão.

Born in Brazil's cultural epicentre, Curitiba, Day opted for a faster pace of life by moving to the buzzing metropolis of São Paulo. She wouldn't know it yet, but this foreshadowed another major decision later in her life - trading her Marketing Manager job for the fast-paced, action-packed world of professional poker!

An all-round poker player, Day has enjoyed success both live and online. Whether it be at the WSOP Main Event at the Rio or in her local card room in Brazil, Day has the adaptability to compete against any style of player. However, 2014 was the year she truly arrived on the scene. Day finished 5th in a $1k event in Uruguay for $11,500, proving her undoubted ability!

2017 was a year to remember for the Brazilian. Three WSOP cashes, two BSOP Millions cashes and 1st place in a 2017 BSOP Ladies event, fully justified the former Marketing Manager's decision to switch careers!

Day is certainly enjoying the social side of travelling to glamorous venues on the poker circuit. She documents her activities regularly on her Instagram account, where Day's twenty thousand plus followers gain a unique insight into the life of a professional poker player, along with the occasional selfie!
