Richard Dubini is one of the most respected and feared players in Argentina, both online and live. With more than $1 million in live cashes, the Argentine is ranked within the top ten in the all-time money list in a country where the game is really taking off.
Richard joins the partypoker team with over seven years’ experience and a list of accolades that includes becoming the Argentine champion at CAP Posadas in 2012 as well as winning Event #43 of the EPT Barcelona in 2015 for an impressive €142,000. In the summer of 2017 he also recorded a career-best finish at the WSOP Main Event, narrowly missing out on the final table and coming 12th for an incredible $535,000.
A strong presence at the WSOP is nothing new to Richard, who has previously final tabled multiple tournaments including Event #40 $1,500 NLH in 2013 and Event #6 $1,500 NLH in 2016, where he finished 7th and 9th respectively for combined winnings of over $100,000.

What has been your toughest game/tournament?
A tournament with a buy-in of €2,200 in Barcelona; even though the field was not very large at just 510 players, the final table was crowded with very good regulars. I was lucky to win and it’s a great memory.
Do you prefer live or online games?
I prefer to play live. I feel more comfortable if I can observe other players on the table.
What would you say the highlight of your poker career has been?
I was lucky enough to reach three final tables in the WSOP events. I haven’t been able to win a bracelet yet but these were still important achievements.
What is your top poker tip?
Only play if you really feel like it so that you can be focused and give 100%.
If you could play a game of poker against anyone, who would it be?
Doyle Brunson. Although poker has come a long way in the years since, I still remember starting to learn about it through his books. He is a legend.
Do you have a favourite poker quote?
"A chip and a chair"
I like this phrase. You always need to believe that you can come back in a tournament. Confidence is something that is very important in life, just as it is in poker.
